Parish Pastoral Council
The Parish Pastoral Council serves as both a
pastoral body and an administrative body. The primary function of the
Council is to work in conjunction with the Pastor in the evaluation and
planning of parish business. The Council, along with the Pastor, must
approve the budget and all major improvements and repairs within the
Parish.
The Parish Pastoral Council consists of members, nominated by the parish
at large and chosen by a discernment process. along with the
chairpersons of the Board of Education and Finance and Maintenance
Council with the Pastor.
Finance and Maintenance Council
The Finance directive of the Finance and Maintenance Council is the
responsibility, in conjunction with the pastor, for establishing an
annual budget for the operation of the entire parish. They are charged
with reviewing the income and expenses in order to maintain that budget.
The Maintenance area is responsible for the overall maintenance and
upkeep of the buildings and grounds of the parish. They are charged
with the hiring of contractors for any and all major repairs and
assuring that such repairs are properly completed.
Stewardship Committee
The primary purpose of the Stewardship Committee is to educate and
empower the parish at large to live a life of stewardship by recognizing
that everything we have is a gift of God. This will lead us to
become more loving in our relationships and recognize our responsibility
to make some return to God for all of His gifts.
With this in mind the committee fosters many of the other parish
committees through invitation and education.
